Some places deserve more than a passing glance. They deserve to be remembered.

My work is dedicated to documenting the historic buildings, landscapes, and communities that tell the story of our past. Through fine art and documentary photography, I strive to create lasting images that preserve the character, craftsmanship, and history of places that may one day disappear.

My journey began in Tillamook, Oregon, when my grandmother gave me a Kodak Brownie camera at the age of eight. That simple gift sparked a lifelong fascination with photography and the stories a single image can tell.

During my 22-year career in the United States Army, I had the opportunity to live and travel throughout Europe. I spent countless miles exploring medieval villages, centuries-old churches, castles, cathedrals, and historic city centers. Standing before buildings that had survived for hundreds of years gave me a profound appreciation for architecture, craftsmanship, and the importance of preserving our shared heritage.

Returning to the United States, I found myself drawn to the historic places in my own country. The same curiosity that led me through Europe's ancient streets now inspires me to document America's architectural heritage before time, neglect, or redevelopment changes it forever.

Today, I continue my work as both a photographer and an advocate for historic preservation. As a member of the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, the Tacoma Photographic Society, and the Photographic Society of America, I am committed to documenting the buildings, landscapes, and communities that connect us to our past and inspire future generations.

Whether I am photographing a historic home in the Pacific Northwest, an abandoned school on the Palouse, a century-old theater, or a landmark that has stood for generations, my purpose remains the same:
