Let's Preserve History Together
Historic places are more than buildings—they are the physical record of our communities, our culture, and our shared past. My mission is to document these places through thoughtful photography that preserves their stories for future generations.
I welcome opportunities to collaborate with organizations, institutions, and individuals who share a passion for historic preservation. Whether your project involves documenting a single landmark, an entire historic district, or an ongoing preservation effort, I believe the best work is created through partnership.
Ways We Can Collaborate
I enjoy working with:
Historical societies and preservation organizations
Museums and archives
National, state, county, and local parks
Historic homes and estates
Main Street and downtown revitalization programs
Libraries, universities, and educational institutions
Tribal and cultural organizations
Architectural preservation projects
Local governments documenting historic resources
Editorial and documentary publications
Nonprofit organizations
Private owners and caretakers of historically significant properties
If your project involves preserving history, documenting change, or sharing the story of a special place, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how photography can support your mission.
A Shared Commitment
I understand that many museums, historical societies, preservation groups, and nonprofit organizations work within limited budgets. While every project has real costs, my work is guided first by the opportunity to help preserve history rather than by maximizing profit.
Whenever possible, I am happy to explore creative and flexible arrangements that meet the needs of both your organization and my own. I believe successful collaborations are built on mutual respect, shared goals, and a commitment to creating something of lasting value.
Artist Residencies
One of my greatest interests is participating in both short- and long-term artist residencies centered on historic places, cultural landscapes, and community heritage.
I see a residency as an opportunity to contribute as much as I receive. Beyond creating a body of photographic work, I enjoy sharing knowledge through presentations, exhibitions, educational programs, photographic documentation, and community engagement. My goal is to leave behind not only meaningful photographs but also a lasting contribution that benefits the organization, the community, and future generations.
What You Can Expect
Every collaboration begins with listening. I take the time to understand the history of a place, the goals of your organization, and how photography can best support your mission.
You can expect professionalism, reliability, flexibility, and genuine respect for the places and stories entrusted to me. My objective is to create photographs that are both visually compelling and historically significant—images that can educate, inspire, support preservation efforts, and become part of a lasting historical record.
Let's Start a Conversation
If your organization is preserving a historic place, restoring a landmark, documenting a community, or seeking a photographer who values collaboration over commercial transactions, I would be pleased to hear from you.
Whether your project is close to home or across the country, a weekend assignment or a multi-month residency, I welcome opportunities that preserve history, educate the public, and create something of enduring value.
Together, we can ensure that today's historic places remain tomorrow's remembered stories.
Every photograph is more than a single image; it is a piece of history preserved.
